This little snippet popped up earlier this evening. It builds on a phrase my love used a few days ago. For some reason, it stuck in my head and I find it flitting through the grey matter between my ears, always in his voice. He said it casually but I promise you, I didn't hear … Continue reading Just so you know, it’s not all darkness.

So, you think that stories of epic, lifelong romance are reserved for novels or movies? Think again.
This couple, Cynthia and Howard, first met over 60 years ago. Today, after all that time apart, they sit side by side on Martha’s Vineyard as husband and wife. The course of events that brought them together again is not only the very definition of true love, but it is an inspiration to all of us that men who are loving and romantic to their very core are still out there, and so are the women who appreciate them. Cynthia was used to having groups of men tease her when she was younger. The one man who actually held her attention? Howard, the gentleman.
Proof that the concepts we discuss on this website, while rare and difficult to find in our generation, are still very real in the world we live in.

My experience would have me believe that men (well, males in general) put a lot of energy into doing things, whether it be working out, taking care of or avoiding taking care of their children, their jobs / careers / studies when they have them, etc. They get sex when they can, as often as … Continue reading Morning Pondering – for those of you who don’t see my FB page.
Seduction It is not a gold filled smile or one’s body being exposed. Its not, “shawty”, “bitch”, “freak”, or “ho.” It is not buying me a drink at the bar with the expectation that my panties will drop. It is not waking up to strangers in your bed. It's not hooking up or, "I'm emotionally … Continue reading (Unfinished) Seduction
I’m lying in the same position in which you left me, trying to catch the breath you so enthusiastically forced from my body. The perspiration is cooling in a chilling line down the center of my chest and back. My fingers and toes tingle as the blood returns from its job of plumping essential parts … Continue reading Ana’s favorite way to wake up in the morning.
Real romantic love is pork bacon. In other words, the real deal. I, however, have found myself settling for turkey bacon (lust and infatuation masquerading as real romantic love). On this man-made holiday for lovers, I’m pledging that I will no longer sully my taste-buds with these poor substitutes. Only pork bacon for me from … Continue reading Love Is…Bacon (My non-traditional Valentine’s Day post)
