#BlackLivesMatter – all day, every day.

Let’s start there. Black lives matter so I propose on July 31st of this year, Black folks find a way to NOT commit any Black on Black crime involving assault and or murder. GLOBALLY! We step away from using any kind of weapons against each other. For a whole 24 hours. From midnight (12:00 am) on July 31st to 11:59:59 pm.

As it stands, in case you hadn’t noticed, white folks use our actions toward each other to justify their systemic abuse and disrespect of our rights as fellow human beings on this planet. Can we stop adding fuel to that fire for a day?

Will it change anything? Other than being a small blip on the crime statistics calendar, I’m not sure. I just know that I’d like to see a day when we practice what we preach.
