2019 – The Year of My Desires

Sounds a touch erotic when you say it like that, eh? Or at least I hope it does. I hope hearing the word ‘desire’ arouses something in you. A longing for sensual adventures that indulge every physical and metaphysical sense you have.

For me, desire is the acute, sharp, longing for satisfaction, Divine Connection, and the expression of my most authentic self. It is my vampire fangs worn unbeknownst to anyone else; it is a provocative question asked of dinner guests that leaves them wondering who I am, really because that question lets them know, they don’t really know me at all. Desire is the tailored, 40’s style pencil skirt and blouse worn under the brocade Red Evil Queen coat I got from Dracula’s Clothing.

Desire for me is intimacy, vulnerability with the right people at the appropriate time. It is learning my lesson, practicing what I teach, falling, getting up and trying again.

And I want you all to watch me go for my desires. I want to inspire you to go for yours. Join me as I launch my YouTube channel. It’s under my business name, Nowata Press Publishing & Consulting, LLC. , but will surely be a more personal channel chock full of vlogs, readings, life observations, and assorted standard YouTube fare such as sales pitches, Plan With Me’s and Planner flip throughs.  I will more than likely be winging it in terms of posting regularity, at least for these first couple of months. I’m thinking it will take me that long to find my grove (let alone learn how to talk comfortably to the camera and then edit what I end up with).

There’s a podcast looming on the horizon as well, thanks to my daughter’s prompting and encouragement. That will definitely be more adult in nature in terms of the content. No, nothing too erotic or pornographic, but definitely for a more mature audience in terms of what gets asked and talked about. Or it could just be me reading from my books. Who knows.  Either way, I’ll keep you posted.

So, I ask you – it’s a new year…what do you DESIRE?

As far as goals for 2019, I’ve got the following, all of which I plan to achieve doing things that bring about my desired feelings (ref – Desire Map by Danielle LaPorte – if you’d like to do your own Desire Map work, I can help with that.):

• $150,000 in business revenue – 10% off the top goes to charity in June; 60% of what’s left goes to operations, 30% to business savings, and then 10% is my salary.
• $15,000 in total savings – I have four funds I want to build this year; Just In Case ($2,000.00); Travel ($8,000.00); Car Maintenance ($2,500.00); Gifts (2500.00).
• Lose 20% body fat.
