A long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far away…

Ha, yeah. There’s no comparing this journey I’ve been on to the epic trials and tribulations Luke had to endure on his way to Jedi-hood.  But it’s close ;-).  What am I talking about, you ask?  I’m talking about the day I held my newborn daughter in my arms for the first time, and then, on that same date a few years later…

I held my first ever, self-published book in my hands. While it’s not  a major Hollywood block buster, the story of how I’d finally decided it was well past time to turn my dream of being a published author into a reality is fraught with ups, downs, and dramatic turns. I’ll spare you the sorted details and skip right to the good part.

On July 18, 2008,  I found myself standing in the reception area of the book manufacturers’ offices, holding my book, Satin Sheet Memoirs, Vol. 1 in my hands. The feelings of becoming a mother to a tiny human were much the same as I had the day I became a Self-Published Author. I was ECSTATIC!

Because that date holds such good feelings for me, and definitely represents some major milestones in my journey so far, it seems only fitting that I choose July 18^th as the day I launch the next great phase of my life –
