Ohhhh, that title sucks a bit, doesn’t it? Oh well. It’s still a title, eh? (see what I’m trying to do here?)
Only one person of the five invitees showed up to last month’s opening coaching session. I’ve since extended a broader invitation to others via the blog to get in on the launch. One person has inquired so far.
Perhaps this is the Universe’s way of telling me to abandon all hope that I will ever become the successful business owner I wish to become? If that’s the case Universe, I’m not listening just yet. So bear with me a little longer – going to keep knocking on these doors (with my head and my heart it seems…all the pain, lol) until one opens onto the life I’m wanting to live. Or, till I die of complications from a concussion and a broken heart.

Oh, that was kinda bleak, wasn’t it? Sorry.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch…
I’ve got two main projects working this year, Nowata Press Publishing & Consulting (for real this time) and My Year as a Nerd Fitness Rebel.
The first is my side hustle (since 2008). I’m going Pro with it this year which means writing, publishing, coaching, marketing, spending and MAKING money. Six figures to be exact. That’s the making money part, not the spending. On the spending side I hope to end up investing no more than $1,000.00 for the year. Seems tight but that’s the limit I’ve set to squeeze from my personal budget. Any other seed money will have to come from book sales and paying clients. I’ve got three new titles and two second editions to release this year:
New:
- Aphrodite’s Twin – February 14, 2016
- The Other Woman – September 21, 2016
- Eat Prey Blood – October 31, 2016
Second Editions:
- Quiet Thoughts on the Noise of Life – January 18, 2016
- Hello Diva – April 1, 2016
The Nerd Fitness thing…well, that’s the health side of the equation. I was on a roll last year, but fell off the wagon while on vacation. Consequently, I started this year off a pound heavier than where I was when I decided to get into better shape. I’m sneaking walking back into my daily routine and have a body weight workout from NF that I do every other day. Once I get those two items reintegrated, then I’ll switch to my food intake. I’ve got to curb my sweat tea addiction once again, as well as up my veggie and fruit intake. I’m not looking to get a six pack, just interested in dropping the keg, if you know what I mean ;-).
What’s on your agenda?
Plans for the year? Right now, I just want to get caught up on the blog!
LOL – you’ll get there. I’m sure Choppy will help ;-).
I am going to keep working at it – I am glad for the support on it, though! I have to remember that even Choppy wasn’t great at modeling in her early days.
