On the Sixth Day of Halloween…

Today, I’m sharing with you six of the scenes that scared me silly, from some of my favorite horror movies.  These are in no particular order by the way and I urge you to not press play if you’re the least bit squeamish ;-).

One of the most iconic…

And who wasn’t just a bit freaked out when this moonlight swim turned tragic?

“It hurts…” – gives me chills to this day.

Then of course, there was this “head turner”..

I still can’t sit through that whole movie with my eyes open.

Here’s one that most folks don’t know anything about. This one scene made the movie for me.

One thing you don’t see in the clip is that the two women started off sleeping right next to each other. There’s no explanation given as to how the one ended up on the settee by the door! *shivers*

“Awwww dayum” was all I could think when…

“What do you mean, he’s NOT there?!!”

And finally,

I had been scared on and off throughout the movie, but that scene right there clinched it. Oh. The. Horror. (lol – as I turn the lights on)

And there you have it. Some of the most chilling movie scenes I’ve ever had the nerve to sit through :-). What are some of your favs?

  1. one of the scariest moments for me is from Alien when Ripley is keeping as still as possible & looking out of the corner of her eye, without moving her head & sees it looming.

  2. I never saw Exorcist, and as I am a wuss with horror don’t think I will. The scene from Jaws had me thanking God I lived in Missouri and there were no sharks in the Mississippi River. The Haunting – Oh my. Not this just scene, but most of the movie. That was one of those that left a lasting impression. *shivers* . Rosemary’s baby – I couldn’t sleep for several nights after that one!
